Census Tools
Censustools.com
For the past two years I have been distributing free copies of my 35 electronic census spreadsheets to researchers looking for a better way to organize their census data. I have given away over 50,000 copies as a way to give back to a hobby I have enjoyed for over 30 years.
My spreadsheets faithfully reproduce the format of the 1790-1930 U.S. Federal census, as well as the 1850-1860 Slave Schedules, 1850-1880 Mortality Schedules, 1883 List of Pensioners, and the 1890 Surviving Veterans and Widows Schedule.
In addition to the federal spreadsheets I also have a state census spreadsheet collection which includes Iowa 1836-1925, Kansas 1865-1925, Massachusetts 1855-1865, Minnesota 1849-1895, New Jersey 1855-1915, New York 1825-1925 and Wisconsin 1836-1905. The spreadsheets provide a way of electronically organizing and preserving census extractions. They can also be used to print blank forms, particularly useful for state census research where extraction forms simply aren't readily available.
I offer all my spreadsheet creations free of charge.
I provide a means for happy users to make a donation to help keep my website up and running, but the spreadsheets are freeware and are fully functional as downloaded.
Sincerely,
Gary Minder   Censustools.com

Norway
Norwegian-American Bygdelagenes Fellesraad - The Norwegian-American Bygdelagenes Fellesraad is made up of the organizations of emigrant descendants from particular areas of Norway who are now living in North America. Each lag seeks to preserve and strengthen bonds with its home district or community-of-origin in Norway, much of it through geneological research. Many of the Bygdelag are based in Minnesota -- or other Upper Midwest states. If you can not enter the site above there is this site that is about Norwegian (and Scandinavian) folk music and dance.

Sweden
Emigrantregistret in Karlstad, Sweden (look under RO:TTER) was founded in 1960. They have registered all emigrated va:rmlanders (ab. 125.000) and created the data base of the more than 1.2 million emigrants who sailed from Swedish ports. The site is in Swedish with some English summaries.
Link tip to a Swedish Genealogy and History Page.      I have a homepage about Swedish Genealogy. It is called “Hans Högman's Genealogy and History Page”. The page has been on the Internet since 1996 and most of the pages are translated into English. The homepage has also a lot of information about Swedish History and especially Swedish Military History where I have a great deal of material about the Allotment System (the old system of organizing and financing the Swedish Armed Forces). When you do genealogical research on Swedish ancestors you will sooner or later find an ancestor who served in the military forces. To help the non-Swedish spoken genealogist I have a page called “Find Your Ancestors in the Swedish Military Sources”. It is very important to know how the Swedish Allotment System worked in order to research the soldiers. Therefore I have a page explaining the Allotment System.   The URL to my homepage is: http://www.algonet.se/~hogman/slaekt.htm     Examples of articles on my homepage:  Swedish naming practices in earlier times. History and organization of the Church of Sweden (When you are doing genealogical research of ancestors in Sweden, you probably will have need to read through the Swedish Church records. Therefore, it should be interesting for genealogy researchers to know how the Swedish Lutheran Church has been organized over the years.)  Old Swedish measurements and weights    Land ownership in earlier times - farmers & Crofters    Swe/Eng dictionay, Genealogy terms       A summary of the Allotment System     Swedish Military Research a guide to the military sources       The many Swedish wars      Swedish/English dictionary - Military terms     If you find my homepage interesting, please fell free to put a link to my page on your Minnesota Genealogy Web page.   Best Regards      Hans Högman      Sollentuna    Sweden     E-mail: hogman@algonet.se     Homepage: http://www.algonet.se/~hogman/slaekt.htm
